Get involved with the FCRCC – Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers for the 2016/2017 Season – Get Involved!!

FCRCC has adopted iVolunteer to help us manage our volunteer efforts with our Get Involved Program. The FCRCC is often looking for volunteers to assist with small projects.  We recognize that our membership consists of age groups from 13 to 85.  We have a wide variety of backgrounds and expertise outside of paddling. This is an opportunity to give a few hours of your time to the club for specific projects and events.

Founded in the Fall of 1985, False Creek Racing Canoe Club (FCRCC), is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary paddling club, featuring training and racing programs in the paddle sports of dragon boat, outrigger canoe, and Olympic sprint canoe and kayak.  With the assistance of two part-time staff, the club is run entirely by member volunteers.

There are many volunteer opportunities in which you can gain some valuable work experience, advance your knowledge about the sport of paddling, and for high school students – obtain volunteer credits required for graduation.   All that is required is an interest to help the club carry out its various activities or to help run the club.  Whether it’s helping out at our local regattas or planning one of our social events, your participation ensures we can offer quality programming at an affordable cost.

Be part of our Get Involved Program on and off the water while making lasting friendship. We look forward to you joining and becoming a part of a community of like-minded, friendly and active individuals.  The Ivolunteer has been added to the FCRCC website and will be available on an ongoing basis.
