Race in Shanghai – Seeking Competitive Dragon Boat Racers

If you’re a competitive dragon boat racer and the idea of racing a 10-man boat in an ancient water village in Shanghai in September interests you, get in touch with Kevin Harding (kharding@me.com).  FCRCC members are putting together a mixed team of paddlers to enter as a Canadian team in the 10th Annual Shanghai International Dragon Boat Invitational.  Prize money is up for grabs – and as an invited team, a lot of your expenses (hotel, food, transfers to/from the airport) are covered. You just need to pay your flight and your own spending money.

When? September 18-22.  Where? Zhujiajiao, Qingpu District, Shanghai, China

What do you need? Let Kevin Harding (kharding@me.com) know you’re interested. You’ll also need to have or be eligible for a visa to China (or have a passport that allows you entry to the country without a visa).  Kevin can answer your questions.

Deadline to express interest – July 10, but get in touch earlier as we’ll confirm team members on a rolling basis.
