FCRCC March Madness Outrigger race – Wait list only

If this is your first time, we know you’ll have a fun race. This 5 km OC6 race takes place in beautiful English Bay and involves four ama side buoy turns. Novice OC6 Steering Course

Novice OC-6 Steering Course  This course is designed for paddlers who would like to learn how to steer an outrigger canoe in a safe and supportive environment. The course starts with a classroom session that will cover the basics of steering including the roles and responsibilities of seat 6, communication, reading the water/tides and basics of the steering strokes.  This is followed by time on the water in the steering seat under the guidance of an experienced steersperson.  No previous OC-6 steering experience necessary. Outrigger (OC6) Introduction Days – Spring into Outrigger

Spring Into Outrigger with FCRCC’s Outrigger Intro Days Each session will comprise two 3 hour practices aimed at dragon boaters, flatwater paddlers and canoers wanting to expand their paddling repertoire. Experienced outrigger paddlers and coaches will take you through outrigger paddling technique, on water practices, canoe handling and care, and introduce you to Hawaiian culture.  Come down and give it a try. DBC Coaching Community Dragon Boat – February 17, 2019 The course is intended for anyone interested in entry level coaching.
