OC1 – Level 1 This program is directed towards paddlers who have completed an FCRCC OC1 Orientation session, and are comfortable in our C-Lion OC1s, with knowledge of rigging, equipment care, steering and balance. The goal of this Small Boat Coaching is to build confidence and technical skills, while working out in an OC1, in a group environment. This session will include a review of the 5 km and 2km time trial courses as well as tips on tides, wind, proper race line and overall preparation for a distance time trial. FCRCC Battle of the Boats We hope that you are all having a great summer under these unforeseen circumstances! These days at the club, we have programs running smoothly and successfully. Boat Maintenance and Boat upkeep Susan Mott, FCRCC’s equipment and repairs Coordinator will be holding a 1.5 hour session to answer any questions and show the basic’s of boat maintenance. The session will be held behind the west shed on Granville island, weather permitting. If the weather is not co-operating, an alternate location will be announced. Private boat owners may bring their boats if they wish. The session will be limited to 8 persons.
