FCRCC False Creek Masters Dragon Boat team offers a competitive program for women 49+ (Senior B category) with coaching from Chris Scully, two time DB World Champion and National Outrigger Champion, and a team of high-performance coaches. The Masters team is looking for experienced athletes who are committed to competing at upcoming Canadian National Championships as well as Club Crew World Championships.
In our first season 2018-19, we placed 4th in Canada in our division and earned a berth for the 2020 CCWC in France. Although the 2020 CCWC was ultimately cancelled due the Covid pandemic, we have built on that qualifying success and continue to work on our competitive program by paddling and training in dragon boat, OC1s and dry land training in the gym.
For the 2024 season, we are committed to competing at all the top local Dragon Boat Festivals, where through hard work and team effort our goal is a podium finish in the top division at each regatta. We also find time for fun, with a fantastic social committee who organize regular events off the water throughout the year.
