Dueling Hearts Race – Postponed from February 18, 2019 to March 9, 2019

(Due to uncertain weather conditions, the Dueling Hearts Race has been moved to March 9, 2019.  At this time we are keeping the same schedule and those teams that reserved boats have had their reservation moved to the new date.   We are hoping that all those currently registered will be able to switch dates however, if you require a refund or no longer wish to have a boat reserved, please contact admin@fcrcc.com.  Sorry for the inconvenience. )

 

Dueling  Hearts Race – Moved to March 9, 2019

Dueling Hearts is a relay race for all human powered watercrafts with either a 18 Km long course or 9 Km short course. You and your relay partner(s) will do either 4 – 4.5 Km laps for the long course or 2 – 4.5 Km laps for the short course on False Creek from Alder Bay to Science World and back.
You can have 2 team members (each in a single craft) or up to 4 team members (e.g., a double craft). Changes will be made on the FCRCC dock in Alder Bay and are managed by our change manager.
Registration is at 8:00 am and race starts at 9am or 11 am (two heats – staggered starts at 30″ intervals within heats)
Race fee is $40+gst per Team and all proceeds will go to supporting the development of youth programming at FCRCC.

Event Day Details

8-9am – Registration open for day-of registrations and 9am heats.  If you’re registering on race day, ensure you register during this time.

9am – Flatwater (sprint canoe/kayak/surfskis) heats start

10am – Registration open for day-of registrations and 11am heats.  If you’re registering on race day, ensure you register during this time.

11am – Outrigger and Marathon Canoe heats start
