Join us for the Annual FCRCC 200m Knockout Dragon Boat races on beautiful False Creek! Whether you’re a racer or an enthusiastic cheerleader supporting your favorite team(s), come on out to be part of the event!
DATE: Saturday, May 11th
RACE DISTANCE: 200m
LOCATION: 1 Athletes Way, Vancouver, V5Y 0B1
RACE DAY SCHEDULE (Appx):
7:15 AM – 7:45 AM: Team Manager Check-In & Waiver/Race Roster Drop off (At Race HQ)
7:45 AM – 8:15 AM: Managers Meeting (In front of Race HQ)
8:30 AM: Pre-Marshaling Teams
9:00 AM – 1:20 PM: Women’s and Mixed Races (Qualifiers 1 & 2, Semi-Finals)
1:30 PM – 4:10 PM: Women’s and Mixed Final Knockout Rounds
All teams will get 4 to 6 heats of racing: 2 Qualifier Heats, 1 Semi-Final, 1 Final Knockout Round!
Steers people and callers – Gender does not matter for either division.
HOW THE KNOCKOUT ROUND WORKS: 3 x 200m races back to back! Each team gets a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 race(s) in the Knockout round. The slowest boat(s) will be eliminated in each round until 4 boats are left in the final round… GOOD LUCK!!
