Sprint Canoe and Kayak Paddling at FCRCC

What is Sprint Canoe & Kayak?

Sprint Canoe & Kayak is an olympic sport. At FCRCC, we offer programming to help kids develop as athletes from entry-level camps to competitive high performance streams in this sport. We have both recreational and competitive pathways (for both youth and adults) and focus on removing barriers to sport to promote getting more people on the water, learning and having fun.

As a club, we are member of our provincial sport organization, CanoeKayakBC, and national sport organization, CanoeKayakCanada.  We are also a recognized organization in promoting SafeSport and creating a culture where everyone can thrive.

New paddlers are welcome anytime throughout the season!

If you would like to register and not sure where to begin, contact us by emailing flatwater@fcrcc.com and introduce yourself! Tell us a bit about yourself and we’ll help you get started. We look forward to meeting you!

We offer programs year-round for youth and adults of all skill levels!

We have many exciting paddling options to help keep you and your family active!

Our youth paddling programs are structured based off the nationwide Canadian Sport For Life Long-Term Athlete Development model, and more specifically, the CanoeKayakCanada LTAD Model. This model is designed to help kids develop optimally through stages, acquiring fundamental skills and progressively building on their technical and physical skills.

Our adult programs include both fundamental and advanced sessions in sprint canoe & kayak as well as surfski.
