Spring into Outrigger with FCRCC’s Outrigger Intro Days

  Each session will comprise two 3 hour practices aimed at dragon boaters, flatwater paddlers and canoers wanting to expand their paddling repertoire. Experienced outrigger paddlers and coaches will take you through outrigger paddling technique, on water practices, canoe handling and care, and introduce you to Hawaiian culture.  Come down and give it a try. Small boat coaching – basic fundamentals = start date is now Feb 26th

Start date postponed to Feb 26th.  Course extended to March 26th due to snow forecast. Huki orientations – new dates

OC1 Huki Orientations Before being allowed to take out a OC-1 Huki all FCRCC members must: – Complete a specific Huki Orientation. – Apply the “Huki Orientation” sticker on their membership card. Dueling Hearts Race – Postponed from February 18, 2019 to March 9, 2019

Repair of Hukis – January 19th to 25th

HUKI REPAIRS Jan 19-26th   Hukis will be out of service starting on Saturday, January 19th at 4:00 pm. They will be going in for repair and will be returned to service by Saturday January 26th at 12:00 noon.  (IF some boats are ready sooner, we will return them to the shed as soon as possible.) Sorry for the interruption to training, however, this is the consequence of boat damage. We are fixing the bow damage and dings to the boats as a means to prevent further, more serious damage.   These clinics are intended for anyone interested in learning the basics of paddling in a marathon canoe.
