OC6 Novice paddling 2019 starts in May!!

  If you’ve never paddled in an outrigger, or lack confidence in your paddling abilities, the False Creek Racing Canoe Club Novice Program welcomes you to learn basics of paddling technique, boat safety and outrigger culture! This is a co-ed program open to adults of all ages and is coached by experienced FCRCC outrigger paddlers. Spring into Outrigger with FCRCC’s Outrigger Intro Days

  Each session will comprise two 3 hour practices aimed at dragon boaters, flatwater paddlers and canoers wanting to expand their paddling repertoire. Experienced outrigger paddlers and coaches will take you through outrigger paddling technique, on water practices, canoe handling and care, and introduce you to Hawaiian culture.  Come down and give it a try. Small boat coaching – basic fundamentals = start date is now Feb 26th

Start date postponed to Feb 26th.  Course extended to March 26th due to snow forecast. Huki orientations – new dates

OC1 Huki Orientations Before being allowed to take out a OC-1 Huki all FCRCC members must: – Complete a specific Huki Orientation. – Apply the “Huki Orientation” sticker on their membership card.
